Apple Coffee Cake
4 cups thin sliced apples
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
pour sugar over apples and let stand 30 minutes.
add dry ingredients to apple mixture.
add remaining ingredients.
mix by hand until smooth.
use a greased 13X9 or 2 - 8 or 9 inch pans
Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.
